Water-rock interaction
I am an MS student studying geochemistry water-rock interactions at the University of Wyoming. I work in Dr. John Kaszuba's research group on a project funded by ConocoPhillips. The goal of this research is to mitigate water usage when fracking in the Permian Basin. I will study the geochemical effects of using CO2 as a fracturing fluid, rather than water. These experiments will be done in a high pressure/temperature vessel.
